Blu Wireless wins prestigious Automotive Electronics Innovation category at last night’s TechWorks Awards

Blu Wireless’s mmWave technology was last night declared the best automotive electronics innovation of 2019 at the annual TechWorks Awards gala.

The awards celebrate the year’s key electronics innovations, people and companies from across the UK and Ireland. The TechWorks Awards have run annually since 2001 - originally branded as the NMI Awards.

The category specifically recognises today’s intensely competitive automotive market and the fact that it is absolutely essential for new innovative products to enable end user requirements of functionality and safety within a tight window of market opportunity, while meeting exceptionally high quality and reliability standards.

The award was presented by Penny Power OBE, who said Blu Wireless had created a: “revolutionary approach to resolving connectivity for high speed transport.” Adding that its V2X (vehicle to everything) technology was addressing “one of the biggest challenges in 5G communications [to give] benefits across automotive and rail communication systems.”

Blu Wireless was honoured to receive this award alongside many other innovators, the full list is available here.
